April 13th 2021: At a League Stars School Holiday Clinic at Peter Moore Field in Belmore, Heroes With Ability and the Canterbury Bulldogs were able to invite along enthusiastic participants from Afford surrounding districts to attend. The League Stars School Holiday Clinics are an NRL initiative.
During an unplanned presentation ceremony at the end of the clinic, the Bulldogs players (including Dallin Watene-Zelezniak in the photo above) gave away their training jerseys to the Afford participants, much to their delight!
“It’s great that community sport is starting to return in a safe way across the country and we’re excited to be supporting kids getting back outdoors and alongside their friends safely through our League Stars School Holiday programs,” said Luke Ellis, the NRL’s head of football – participation, pathways and game development.
“Our League Stars program is non-tackle and focussed on the development of skills like passing, catching, kicking and evasion – there’s a place for all kids to find their strength and we encourage parents to find their nearest clinic and get them involved.”
Heroes With Ability would like to thank the NRL, the Canterbury Bulldogs and their sponsors. It was a day that our participants will never forget!
