CHRIS HEIGHINGTON, THREE CLUBS, TWO PREMIERSHIPS AND ONE BIG HEART

Chris Heighington is a former professional rugby league footballer. An English international, Country New South Wales and NRL All Stars representative, his positions were lock, second-row and prop.

Chris was once described by team-mate Benji Marshall as, ‘the heart and soul of Wests Tigers on and off the field.’

He played for the Wests Tigers and Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, winning a premiership with each, before finishing his career with the Newcastle Knights.

On 31 July 2018, he announced that the 2018 season would be his last after a 16-season career. Almost 3 years later, on the 28th July 2021, Chris became a Heroes With Ability Ambassador.

Chris commented: ‘I would love to promote and support Heroes With Ability. You guys have done such a great job – what a team, what a family . It’s a pleasure to be part it.’

If Rugby League is a great game, it’s great because of people like Chris. We warmly welcome Chris Heighington to the Heroes With Ability family.
